Participants and visitors to Premchand 2011 will no doubt enjoy the added attraction of Mecca, the annual cultural fest of Hindu College and one of the biggest fests in all of Delhi.

Mecca begins on the 19th of January and runs till the 22nd.

You can look forward to 2 or 3 concerts, a rock show, a fashion show, choreography competition, competitions in music [vocal, instrumental, Hindustani, Western you name it …], theatre [street plays and proscenium …] creative writing competition and a whole lot more – all within the premises of Hindu College, within walking distance from the debate venues.

Last year the cumulative prize money at Mecca was more than Rs. 250,000 and it is only expected to rise substantially this year.

Bollywood personality Mohit Chauhan is confirmed to perform at this year’s Mecca, and he is just the first of many. We’ll keep updating this space as more details trickle in!
